Local Schools
Within the Township there are two major school boards Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and PVNC Catholic District School Board.
Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board:
With almost 100 schools, the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board serves the Municipality of Clarington, Northumberland County and Peterborough County.
Kawatha Pine Ridge District School Board educates their students to excel in learning, to succeed in life and to enrich their communities. They believe in educating for success.
There are three school located in the Township:
- Chemong Public School, Bridgenorth
- Lakefield Intermediate School, Lakefield
- Ridpath Junior Public School, Lakefield
PVNC Catholic District School Board :
There are 32 PVNC elementary schools located throughout Peterborough, Peterborough County, City of Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland and Clarington. Catholic schools are unique faith-centered communities that integrate thinking and believing in ways that encourage intellectual growth and nurture faith and inspiration.
There are two school located in the Township:
- St. Paul's Elementary School, Lakefield
- St. Martin's Elementary School, Ennismore
