Innovation Cluster
The Greater Peterborough Innovation Cluster is situated at Trent University in Peterborough; and was established through a collaboration with Trent University, Sir Sandford Fleming College, Ontario Ministry Natural Resources, and the Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation (GPA EDC).
The Cluster was initially funded through Trent University, Sir Sandford Fleming College, Industry Canada, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, and the City of Peterborough..The Innovation Cluster has since expanded its scope; and now receives its primary funding through the Ministry of Research and Innovation (MRI), Industry Canada, and its Private Sector Membership.
The Innovation Cluster focuses on research in the areas of environment, water quality, wildlife DNA and forensics, agriculture, health and biomaterials.
